And We're Off!

Since we planned on keeping our wedding day a secret, what more appropriate wedding day could we have chosen than April Fool's Day? Well, appropriate for those with a twisted sense of humor like us!

So we were off! We left on Thursday, March 27th so we could get there early and be ready. During our layover, we received a message from someone at the Late Show with David Letterman. We had tried to sign up to get tickets for multiple shows ahead of time and actually heard back from one! Yahoo! So we had to answer a trivia question for the tickets and as much as we like David Letterman, we don't watch it on a regular basis. Dave often visits Rupert Jee's place of business on his show. What kind of business does he run? Jason answered sandwich shop and got it right. It was so awesome! We could choose from March 31st, April 1st or the 2nd. We chose the 2nd, so as not to interupt our wedding plans.

Where it all began...

Well, we met at the video store around 1997...oh so long ago. We began dating and dating...and dating...and dating for a long time.

You get the idea. Anywho, around 2007 we decided we were going to take a real vacation for once. Not our usual "Well, we have to go to a family reunion, so we can stop off in X, Y and Z..." We chose New York and then thought, what if we got married while we were there? Why not right?

So we started making plans in secret. As much as we love celebrating with our loved ones, it was important to us to have our wedding day to ourselves. We told everyone we were going on vacation and planned on making the announcement upon our return...
