So we arrived at the airport late in the evening and took a taxi into the city. It was just like the movies! This driver was weaving in and out of traffic like a pro. I was convinced that we were going to die. Jason couldn't stop smiling and thanked the driver when we got out. He thought it was pretty funny. We got to the Hudson Hotel...in one piece and it was very strange. It felt like the hotel had an identity crisis and couldn't decide what style to stick with. The guests were very...um...singles that were trying to hard, but entertaining for sure.
We checked in and got up the next day to take care of our marriage license. In the state of New York, you have to have your license for a full 24 hours prior to getting married. After we finished, we met up with our great friend and witness to our marriage, Anne Kumer. I've known her since 3rd grade and she lives in Brooklyn. She took us to all kinds of awesome places to eat and threw us a dinner party at her apartment. Mmm...beets...
